COMPLIANCE
The word compliance comes from the English verb “to comply”, which means “to comply”, “to be in agreement”, “to be in conformity”. That is, the noun compliance can be understood as “conformity”.
Over time, the corporate world has appropriated the word and expanded its meaning. According to the ABNT NBR ISO 37301 standard:
“Compliance is an ongoing process and the result of an organization fulfilling its obligations. Compliance becomes sustainable when it is embedded in the organization’s culture, and in the behavior and attitude of the people who work for it. (…) An effective organization-wide compliance management system enables an organization to demonstrate its commitment to complying with relevant laws, regulatory requirements, industry sector codes and organizational norms, as well as good governance standards, generally accepted best practices , ethics and community expectations.”
For POWERCHINA, Compliance means commitment to Brazilian laws, agreements with customers and ethical principles and values that are presented in the company’s Code of Ethics. These are the norms that guide the company in its relationship with its customers, suppliers, partners and society in general.
POWERCHINA firmly believes that continued success and global development can only be maintained by pursuing the core values of responsibility, innovation, integrity and win-win partnerships.

Ethical compliance and integrity must be inherent in all actions of each employee, without exception or mistake.
